Brave New World

I’d like this post to be a positive source of information and even a little entertainment.  I have had Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety Disorder nearly all my life, but wasn’t properly diagnosed until the early 2000’s.  It’s been a very long road to recovery and I’m still trying to recover.  So, this blog will document all that I have done and continue to do to help myself along this journey for the sake of my family and myself.  If I can help others along the way, that would make me even happier.  After all, we’re put on this earth to help our fellow human beings and I hope I have done that and will continue to do that.  So this post will be short… a sort of test to see if anyone is reading this.  As I continue, I tell stories of events I have gone through and others (with their permission), discuss advocacy issues (because this is my passion) and how you can help and all sorts of things.  It’s an evolving blog.  So, I hope you enjoy it.

Welcome to the blogging community! I’m certain you will help others by sharing your story. I too suffer from anxiety and we all can do our part to help others understand and accept mental illness.

  2. I’m reading! 🙂 I’m also an advocate like you. I volunteer for the Consumer Advisory Council for the International Bipolar Foundation, & I founded the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) of my county where I facilitated free women’s sport groups for two years. Advocacy is truly gratifying. You are a total inspiration! Welcome to the blogosphere!
